| Jartek responds to the future challenges of further processing in Russia |
|
 |
|
Jartek is launching a new further processing program at the exhibition
WOODEX in Moscow and strengthening its position in the Russian
market.
One of the major suppliers of sawmills in Russia, Finnish Jartek, is
presenting company's new further processing concept of sawn timber at the
WOODEX exhibition, held in Moscow 29.11.-2.12.2011. Jartek strongly
believes in the significant increase of first degree further processing in
the Russian market. The main target group for the new concept will be
existing sawmill customers, as well as other forward thinking companies,
which process more than just sawn timber production.
Jartek’s well-known brand as well as succeeded large deliveries will
contribute to the launch of the new market area.
A new concept – high speed planing mills
A significant part of Jartek’s further processing
concept is high speed planing mills. Jartek has designed together with its
partners planing complexes, which are planing in a range of 150-350 m /
min. These production lines are suitable for capacity from 50 000 m3.
In addition, Jartek will heavily invest in the other primary processing
sectors, such as the house building industry and the gluelam beam industry,
together with its strong partners.
Investments in the Russian market will continue
Generally, experts in Jartek firmly believe the Russian timber industry to
grow. "Investments will be strong in all our business areas. We are
developing our operation comprehensively to meet the future challenges. In
addition, we are continuously developing our local visibility and looking
for new experts in Russia to all areas of expertise. ZAO Jartek Rus,
subsidiary located in St. Petersburg, currently employs 8 professionals. In
the near future, we are planning to expand our sub-network as well as begin
our own production in Russia", says Jukka Nousjoki, the general director of
Jartek Rus.
